Our tutorials can be paused when you need to catch up, and we will provide timestamps with titles to describe each general step so that you can fast-forward or rewind to easily find the part of the video that you want.
SEWING 101
This playlist is for the absolute beginner. It’s also a GREAT refresher course if you are rusty OR have unwittingly picked up some really bad habits along the way lol.
DRAPING 101
This playlist walks you thru basic principles of draping. It prepares you for the day when you can bring what is locked inside your head–or heart–out into the real world.
FLAT PATTERNING 101
This playlist prepares you for the daunting task of drafting a paper pattern. At first, your patterns will be kind of clunky, but practice makes perfect!
TOILE 101
A toile–also called a mock-up or a muslin–is basically a dry run in a similar kind of cheaper fabric to test out your pattern. You will learn how to prepare your toile for a fitting.
FITTING 101
The fitting is crucial in getting you to your final pattern or finished garment. Either on a person, or a on dress form, this step is where you can make fit or design changes.
HANDWORK 101
This Playlist walks you thru the most basic kinds of handwork that you might come across in your simpler sewing projects. It gets much harder later on lol!
